Metaphysical: The shell of the cowrie snail has long been an ancient symbol for the Goddess and rebirth due to it's resemblance to the Yoni, or Sacred Feminine. In many countries a cowrie is still given to new brides as a good luck charm for fertility. In magic spells this type of cowrie is most often used to enhance intuition, aide during transitional phases of life, and in helping to fulfill needs.
