This post marks a change in my handmade metal jewelry and components that will add to its permanence and the owners ease in wearing. All of my crafted metal items, as well as some other jewelry materials, will be coated with several layers of high quality Renaissance Micro-Crystalline Wax sealer. This product, originally formulated in the British Museum research laboratories in the early 1950s, seals and protects metals from moisture and finger print acids. It will prevent natural copper and brass from "greening up" when worn as jewelry and preserve the original finish of a jewelry piece. I'm pleased to add this product to my arsenal because it will make my natural copper jewelry, especially, available to a wider audience and better preserve all of my handmade metal jewelry pendants and chains. For artists who enjoy buying my handmade jewelry components to incorporate into their own assemblage or jewelry art the wax product is easily removed via a solvent such as mineral spirits so that you may apply your own chemical patina, but for normal wear and clean the product is extremely durable. I'm proud to add this product to my creations because it shows that I care about them and YOUR enjoyment of them as a buyer. As always, I endeavor to offer the highest quality materials that I'm able: I'm glad to offer products that you'll be able to enjoy for many, many years.
